A Festive Transformation: Preparing for Christmas
As the air grows crisper and twinkling lights begin to adorn the streets, one clear sign heralds the arrival of the holiday season: the transformation of shopfronts. December is here, and with it comes the festive spirit. One of the most delightful sights during this time is the unveiling of holiday-themed window displays, which starts with the removal of hoardings that have concealed preparations for weeks.
Hoardings – those temporary barriers hiding shopfronts under renovation or being restocked for seasonal collections – serve as canvases of anticipation. Leading up to the holidays, many shops use them to tease festive themes, slogans, or glimpses of what lies behind. However, as Christmas nears, the true magic begins: taking down those hoardings to reveal captivating displays, new stock and Christmas gift inspiration.
Removing the hoardings is more than a logistical task — it’s the final touch of months-long planning, and meticulous design.
The Trust In Safe Hands team have been working hard to ensure that these dismantles are completed safely, efficiently and on time for the ‘big reveals’ planned. So far this year, we have opened up shopfronts in Manchester, London, Sheffield, Birmingham and Southampton alongside our hoarding partners, with plenty more still to come!
